Biography

Dr. Crystal Force grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on her parent's Arabian Horse and Polled Hereford Farm. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Michigan University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University; both degrees with high honors. She has several studies published in Academic journals and she received a scholarship to study at the Weipers Centre for Equine Welfare in Bearsden, Scotland at the Glasgow Veterinary School during her senior year.

Dr. Force worked as an equine vet with a special interest in internal and reproductive medicine and at a mixed practice clinic for both domestic and wildlife. She spent four years in a small animal clinic in Seattle, Washington, before moving to her new home in Hawaii. She joined VCA Kaneohe in 2007 as a General Practitioner. Her interests now include canine and feline preventive health care, internal medicine and diagnostics, and behavioral medicine and therapy.

Dr. Force is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. In her spare time, Dr. Force enjoys spending time with her friends, hiking, weight lifting, and playing with her four cats, Anika, Mischief, Boo and Kodi. While not a native of Oahu, Dr. Force has settled here and has come to consider Oahu her home. She loves all that it has to offer in the form of its people as well as its culture and food.
