Biography

Dr. Carol Ochiai was born and raised in Hawaii. She graduated from high school at Mid-Pacific Institute and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts and Science in neurobiology and animal behavior at Cornell University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the combined campuses of Oregon State University and Washington State University.

After graduating, Dr. Ochiai worked at several different clinics throughout the islands, including the quarantine station and Hickam Air Force Base, before settling at VCA Kaneohe in 2004 as a General Practitioner and now resides in Pearl City. She has two cats, Kaimana and Cindy, and one dog, Gus. Her hobbies are weight lifting, Bikram yoga, hiking, biking, movies, finding new places to eat good food, and hanging out and relaxing with the kids.

She is a current member of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Hawaii Veterinary Society. She is also a past Treasurer of the Hawaii Veterinary Society.
