Biography

Dr. Heyerly (who prefers to be called Dr. Summer) has a Bachelor degree in Animal Sciences and minor in Organicational Leadership Management from Purdue University, and D.V.M. from St. George's University.

Dr. Heyerly was born in Ossian, Indiana, and went to Purdue University for her undergraduate degree. Then she decided to travel abroad to Grenada to receive her D.V.M. from St. George's University with Phi Zeta Academic Honors. She is a member of AAHA and the AVMA.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, paddle boarding, running, playing golf, reading, and traveling. She also enjoys watching the Green Bay Packers on Sundays!!!

Dr. Heyerly has three pets of her own. She has a rottweiler named Hussy and two cats named Crazy and String.
