AMAZING Service and THOUGHTFUL Staff-Stacey Cohen from Deerfield Beach, FL
Pet Name: Reeky
I just can't get over the wonderful care my cat was provided despite the temporary financial hardships I am suffering. Without the thoughtful care of the staff and doctors at the VCA Hillsboro office, my cats would not be protected from heartworm! I can't express my gratitude enough! They understand how precious our pets are to us and only want to do what is best for them! Thank you, VCA Hillsboro!
To the Doctors and Staff at VCA Hillsboro-Sandy Murgatroyd from Boca Raton, FL
I want to thank all of you for the excellent care my dogs have received there. From chemotherapy to the minor aches, pains, and illnesses to the routine examinations, I could not be more pleased and satisfied with the care and compassion you have given "my girls" and me (the sometimes hysterical person). My "girls" nervousness at the office is eased by your gentle touch and soothing voices (and an occasional mop in the waiting room!). I really appreciate how you take the time to thoroughly explain what is needed, offer options and recommendations and answer all my many questions. You've seen us in good times and helped us through the bad times and I will forever be grateful. Thank you so very, very much.
Dr. Pisano-Glenn - Bev from Hollywood, FL
Pet Name: Maggie
Since Dr. Pisano has graduated from Vet School, she has been the only Vet to treat our dogs. Her devotion to animals is obvious upon meeting her, and she has guided and counseled us over the years regarding our pet's health issues.
Dr. Pisano is gentle, knowledgeable, and honest about dog health. She has seen us through periods of both good health and life threatening illness.
Although her practice is at the other end of the county, we would not consider having anyone else care for our pets.
Peace of Mind-Suzanne Tuccelli from Deerfield Beach, FL
Pet Name: Ellie Tuccelli
I would just like to say that we have been taking our golden retriever, Ellie, to VCA Hillsboro since she was 9 weeks old. She is now 9 years old and I am so grateful for the superior care they have shown her over the years. All of the staff is so courteous. I consistently receive follow-up phone calls to check on Ellie after any non-routine visits. I know that they sincerely care about her. Our schedule varies and their convenient office hours make it easy to have her seen when necessary, often without an appointment. I would recommend them without hesitation!
Dr. Pisano and VCA Staff-The Cannavale Family from Boca Raton, FL
Pet Name: Bella and Milo
Thank you so much for the wonderful care and personal attention you give to our dogs, Bella and Milo. We consider them family members and always feel confident that whenever they are with you, they are receiving the best possible care. We have been with VCA since both dogs were puppies (over ten years ago) and although there are other veterinary practices closer to our home, we would never even consider going anywhere else. Dr. Pisano consistently goes above and beyond to make the dogs, and their overprotective "parents," comfortable. The follow-up calls are also very thoughtful. It makes us feel that the dogs' well-being means as much to you as it does to us. In addition, we appreciate that fact that your prices are always competitive and that there are never any surprises when it's time to pay the bill.
In closing, we want to reiterate the high regard in which we hold you practice. We think you guys are the best!

Niko - a.k.a. Aaron-Rosalind D. Currington from Margate, FL
Pet Name: Niko Currington
On April 8, 2010, I adopted a 2 month old Husky/Aussie Shepard mix named Aaron (see below) from the Broward Humane Society. He, his brothers and sister, had been placed up for adoption. I fell in love with him the first day I saw him. Two days later we brought then Aaron, to his new home. He was also given a new name, Niko, and seemed to be a very healthy, active puppy.
Two days later Niko became very ill and on a Sunday was diagnosed with Canine Parvo Disease. I frantically searched for a vet that would see and treat him. I contacted Ms. Stephanie Rodgers at the shelter who assisted me in getting treatment for Niko. When I first picked him up, Niko weighed only 19 pounds and had been infested with ticks and fleas. During his illness, his weight dropped down to 17 pounds and it did not seem as if he would survive the disease. After many long hours at home and 2 overnight stays at the Hillsboro VCA, Niko finally pulled through. He is now 6 months old and weighs a whopping 60+ pounds. He has quickly become a member of my household and is extremely smart. Niko opens the doors to the bedrooms, the patio, and has even escaped from the yard by almost inexplicable means. Sometimes I think he's part coyote since he howls and actually tries to have a conversation with you.
I just wanted to send a note of appreciation to all of the people at the Humane Society who assisted us through that difficult period. In particular, big thanks go out to Esther, Stephanie, and the Hillsboro VCA for their excellent care. Esther is the one who first introduced me to my bundle of mischievous joy. A great thing about the referral provided by Ms. Rodgers is that Niko's sister, Alisha I think, also goes to the same vet. I hope to get a chance for the two pups to meet again in the near future.
Again, thank you to the Hillsboro VCA staff and volunteers at the shelter.

We love Dr. Cunningham-Marci I. from Coconut Creek, FL
Pet Name: Chester
Dr. Cunningham has been so concerned and caring since my cocker spaniel was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia and began having frequent seizures. She has even talked about my dog's problems at cocktail parties and was able to find a more affordable medication to give him to control his seizures. She and the staff are just the best we could ever hope for.
Dr. Pisano-Dawn Baglos from Miami, FL
Pet Name: Ginger
As you know, this was a difficult year with our dog, Ginger, but your compassion made this difficult time more manageable. Thank you. While your candidness, knowledge, and expertise have led me to follow you from your original position at Stirling Square to Coral Springs and ultimately, to Hillsboro, I have come to truly appreciate you and your staff.
Always pleasant and responsible, your care is second to none and certainly makes the drive from North Miami Beach well worth it. In a time where customer care and service can offered be considered lacking, you and the staff at VCA Hillsboro get it right. This is evident in every phone call returned, regardless of the hour, and every question answered. It is evident in the way your staff demonstrates efficiency and a desire to assist. It is evident in the manner in which you make each client feel that you are part of their family and their pet is your pet. It is evident in the warmth you exude during every visit and in your calm demeanor.
It is not by chance that the facility at VCA Hillsboro also demonstrates your warmth. I recall thinking during my first visit that the rooms were so warm and inviting; while they were clean and orderly, they did not have the cold feel of many medical facilities. It felt more like an extension of a home. I always feel good about bringing my animals to see you.
Ultimately, due to your superior service and my confidence in the care my animals receive, I continue to bring my animals to VCA Hillsboro and have often recommended others do the same as well.
Thank you for being our family vet!
My little one is treated with compassion and care-Sheila Rice from Parkland, FL
Pet Name: Shadow
I moved to South Florida 13 years ago, and I compare trying to find the right vet to dating-both my kitty and I had to "kiss a lot of frogs" before we found "Ms. Right." We found her, though, in Dr. Pisano and her team at VCA, and it was truly a blessing. It has now been 11 years, and I would not dream of taking my sixteen-year old baby to any other doctor. My kitty does not make it easy--she hates going to the vet, and she is not declawed--but Dr. P is amazing. With her wonderful sense of humor, she treats my little one with compassion and care, and she does whatever she can to make everything as painless as possible (for both of us). I know I count on Dr. P to be there when I need her, and that peace of mind is priceless.
Amazing Care-Marlene from Miramar, FL
Pet Name: Dexter
I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Vanessa Pissano for about 10 years. When I first started to use her services, she was employed at the VCA hospital in Cooper City. As she has moved north, we have followed. She is an amazing doctor. She is compassionate, caring and extremely professional. Her staff at VCA is equally capable. While enjoying the health of my dogs as well as the difficult moments her and her staff, have been there for us the whole way. They have always expressed the utmost care and respect. I am thankful to them for all they continue to do for me and my dog.
