Technician SupervisorKim K.
I love that when I come to work I can make an animal's life better. The most important thing in my life is my family and I get to provide for them while doing what I love.
Ever since I can remember, I have been in love with animals. I've always had that special connection with them, by being their voice when they could not speak for themselves. At the age of 21 I started at an emergency animal hospital as a client service representative and have worked my way up to a technician, and I have loved every second of it! I chose the veterinary profession as a career because it is so rewarding to see our patients live longer and healthier lives due to our care. I am very blessed to have the best of both worlds, working with my VCA Hillsboro family and having my own loving family at home! I have a partner who is an awesome technician as well, our 4 beautiful children and 2 very special Boston Terriers Nina and Noah, all of which keep me on my toes!
I have always had a passion to help and work with animals, and VCA has given me the opportunity to do what I love! I truly love being able to work with a great team of people who want to accomplish the same goals as I do!
Both of my parents are veterinarians, so I grew up with a natural passion and curiosity for animals, and have always been interested in working with and helping them. Being part of VCA Hillsboro's team, I have the opportunity to do just that, while gaining knowledge and experience that I need to pursue a career in veterinary medicine!
