VCA Herndon-Reston Animal Hospital

Herndon Dog Boarding

We board dogs and cats as a service to our clients on a reservation basis only. Any pet that has not previously been seen by our veterinarians must be scheduled for an examination and vaccinations to establish a medical history for your pet and a client/patient relationship with you, the owner.

Each pet is kept in an individual space in our kennel area with plenty of bedding. Dogs are walked outside at least two times daily and receive a clean-up bath on the last day of their stay with us. All pets are fed Science Diet Maintenance pet food according to your specified feeding schedule unless otherwise instructed. If your pet has medication that must be administered during the course of their boarding visit, please bring the medication with you and we will treat your pet.

Should a medical problem occur while your pet is boarding with us, it will be addressed by our veterinarians. Please be sure to leave an emergency phone number where we can contact you in the event that your pet needs medical attention. All boarders must have proof of current immunizations and vaccinations should be administered at least one week prior to boarding at our facility. Pets will be released during evening office hours of 4-7pm during weekdays and 12-2pm on Saturdays.

The vaccinations and treatments we require at our hospital for boarding pets are:
Canine
