    Patrice Beres

Patrice joined VCA Herndon-Reston Animal Hospital in July 2015 after being a client with her family for many years. She has always been interested in working with animals and decided to join the medical field after working several years in boarding and dog day care facilities. When Patrice made the decision to enroll in Penn Foster's Veterinary Technician Program, she knew that VCA was the best place to help her achieve her goals. She is passionate about learning and helping educate others so they may better understand their furry loved ones. She has done research on animal behavior, psychology and training in her free time to help her accomplish this.  She has also pursued a Certificate in Basic Dog Care from Penn Foster in 2013. Patrice's hobbies outside of her passion for animals include music, reading, watching movies and art. She also tries to dedicate a lot of her time to playing with and caring for her dog, Dillinger and cat, Shamaya.  The reason I chose to work at VCA Herndon-Reston was because I felt they shared my passion for helping animals, but also in the continuing of educating owners and the staff of the hospital.

    Kimberly Weilnau
Veterinary Tech School: Penn Foster Career School

My name is Kimberly and I am currently a Veterinary Assistant. I am working towards getting my Veterinary Technician License with the help of my pets, Mitzie and Dodger (dogs) and Sarah and Elle (cats). My passion for animals and their welfare led me to VCA where I can have a career in which I am able to help animals in need, when they cannot express the words themselves. I chose to work at VCA Herndon-Reston Animal Hospital because of their care for their clients and patient alike, as well as the wonderful staff that works here!
