Dr. Andrea Carlson, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Biography

Dr. Carlson is originally from Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and spent several years working with wildlife, including studying desert tortoises in California and wildlife diseases at the National Wildlife Health Center. After finishing veterinary school, Dr. Carlson completed an internship program in the Chicago area. She is thoroughly enjoying the weather and the beauty of Northern Virginia! Dr. Carlson's special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and emergency/critical care. She has two dogs (Flint and Kaiah) and a box turtle at home. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors (hiking, camping, biking, gardening), traveling, seeing concerts or plays, and curling up on the couch with the dogs and a good book.
