    Heather Weikel-Licensed Veterinary Technician

Welcome, my name is Heather Weikel. I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I started working in the veterinary field in 1998 as a high school student, after helping raise a litter of kittens. I have never had a job that didn't involve animals. I graduated from the veterinary technology program at the University of Guelph, Ridge town Campus in Ontario, Canada in 2007. I have lived in Northern Virginia with my husband since 2008. Although I am a licensed veterinary technician, I felt that working as a Client Services Representative would better integrate my interests in animals, science, medicine and technology. If you were to ask me WHY I joined this profession I would have say, " I get to work with animals and the great people that share my passion for them."    Some things that you may not know about me: 1.
