    Nicki Charleston, C.V.T.
    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College

    Nicki was born and raised in Champaign. She is married and has 3 children. She graduated from the Parkland College Veterinary Technician program in 1992 and became licensed the same year. Nicki worked in Homewood, Illinois for one year before returning home in 1993 to work at Heritage Animal Hospital. She previously served as a foster person for the Champaign County Humane Society and continues fostering for many orphaned pets.

    Emily Schacht

    Emily enjoys spending time with her family.  They love being outdoors and on the go!  They especially love canoing, camping, swimming, and bike riding. 

    She loves being a veterinary technician because it's a very rewarding job and she likes being able to help animals in need.

    Hayley Burkert, C.V.T.
    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College

    Hayley is from Champaign and graduated from Parkland Veterinary Tech Program in May of 2009.  She has an 8 yr. old German Shepherd Dog named Wrigley.  She was recently married in October of 2012.

    Kim Humphrey

    Kim has been married since 1987 and has both a daughter and son. Kim has a Dalmatian mix named Patch and a cat named Elsa. She has worked in the veterinary field for 30 years. 

    She has a special interest in cooking and gardening.  She loves to spend time with her family.  She also enjoys traveling to various central Illinois locations learning about our states history.

    Karen Scrogum, C.V.T.
    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College

    Karen has been with Heritage since 1994. She is a regular face on Saturday mornings. She runs all labwork and performs patient care. Along with her dedication to the labwork for pets she also works in the human field. Karen has a Bachelors degree from the U of I and has her certified license as a histotechnician and pharmacy tech. Karen is from Canton, Il. She has 1 dog, Mikie, and 2 cats, Ned and Vinegar.

    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College

    Lisa was born in Crystal Lake, Il. She came to the Champaign/Urbana area for the Veterinary Technician program at Parkland College and she decided to relocate permanently.
