    Allison Barthel

    Allison is a transfer student attending Parkland College.  She is originally from Des Plaines, a busy suburb just between O'Hare and Chicago.  She plans to pursue a degree in biological sciences before continuing on to the veterinary medicine program at the University of Illinois.

    She enjoys outdoor activities and nature photography.  She has a passion in working with children and providing education on animal care.  She has been around animals for most of her life and has a rescued cat, Dodger, who will soon be joining her from Des Plaines.

    T'Ann Crozier

    T'Ann is attending Parkland College where she is studying general education and has hopes of pursuing a physical therapy degree.  She is a recent graduate of Blue Ridge High School.   She was on the varsity volleyball, softball, and track teams.

    Although T'Ann has just started working in the veterinary field she has been around animals all her life.  She current has 2 bloodhounds (Boozer and Ella Mae) and a cat (Oakley).

    Jacklyn Fixter

    Jackie is from a ranch in a small town in Northern Illinois. She has worked in the veterinary field for 5 years. She is currently in college working towards entering a veterinary school. Jackie has a Saint Bernard at home and her cat lives with her here at school.

    Amy Skarzynski

    Amy is originally from Wood Dale, Illinois, a small suburb near O'Hare Airport.  She graduated in May of 2013 from Eastern Illinois University where her focus of study was on pre-veterinary medicine and she is working towards getting into veterinary school.

    She has 1 dog, a Maltese- Lhasa Apso mix, named Ginger.

    Mindy Thomas

    Mindy is married and has 3 sons. She has worked in a veterinary office since 2003, performing kennel work, reception, and exam room assisting. She has been a cub scout leader for several years in the past and has taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible school and after-school-break at her church. Mindy has a yellow lab named Calamity, and Chaos her cat.

    Tammy Whitaker

    Tammy has worked at VCA Heritage since September of 2007. She has also volunteered at both the Champaign and Vermillion County Humane Societies. Previous to working at VCA she was the manager at a pet store for 6 years which specialized in reptiles and aquatics. Tammy has worked in obedience and Rally-O for 25 years. She also is a Canine Good Citizenship evaluator.
