    School: American University, BA in International Service & Spanish/Latin American Studies

    Sharyl Graduated from American University in 1988 with degrees in both International Service and Spanish/Latin American Studies She also has an Associates Degree in Animal Science from Cedar Valley College - DEVTP 2005 and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Virginia Has worked as a Veterinary Assistant and then as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 20 years, Sharyl has a Special interest in Behavior and has shown and trained dogs for over 25 years. Sharyl is a United States Temperament Testing Association (USTTA) - Temperament Judge Since 2005 and also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) from the American Pet Dog Training Association 2005. She is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys gardening, reading and cooking.

    Stephanie Perkins

    Stephanie joined the VCA Healthy PAWS family in December 2005. She loves to spend her spare time outdoors with her two sons, Gavin and Hudson. She has three furry babies Shelby, Cricket and Mia. Stephanie loves working with animals and their people!

Emergency Care

At VCA Healthy PAWS Medical Center, we understand how frightening and stressful it can be when your pet requires emergency medical attention. If your pet has a medical emergency during business hours, please bring them in right away. You do not need an appointment and your pet will be triaged immediately. It is helpful if you call to notify us that you are on your way so that we can prepare the supplies needed for your pet's care.
