Certified K9 Groomer

Melinda Harrison, Certified Groomer (CG), went to Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming in March of 2005 to fulfill her dream of working with animals. After graduating in July 2005, she worked at Canine Clippers as an Assistant Instructor/Groomer and then came to VCA Healthy PAWS Medical Center in May 2006. She is an active member of the National Dog Groomer's Association of America (NDGAA), is nationally certified in Terriers and Sporting Breeds and is working on her National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG) title. Melinda also regularly attends continuing education grooming courses.

Melinda has been around and loved animals her whole life. Since 1994 she has been an animal sitter for her neighbors and friends. Her responsibilities included: walking, feeding and giving love to many dogs, cats and exotics. She graduated from Liberty High School in 2002 with an Advanced Studies Diploma and has 52 credits towards her Associates in Science Degree. Melinda enjoys volunteering at the Fauquier SPCA and Blue Ridge Assistance Dogs.

Melinda resides in Culpeper with her daughter, a Scottish Terrier named Sid and a Bichon named Sarah.

Emergency Care

At VCA Healthy PAWS Medical Center, we understand how frightening and stressful it can be when your pet requires emergency medical attention. If your pet has a medical emergency during business hours, please bring them in right away. You do not need an appointment and your pet will be triaged immediately. It is helpful if you call to notify us that you are on your way so that we can prepare the supplies needed for your pet's care.
