  Dr. Jorgenson is the standard by which all vets should be evaluated. His experience, gentle patience and humor are exactly what I want for the care of my dogs. The younger doctors would do well to remember that owners know their pets better than the doctor, and by listening to my observations Dr. J. is able to give us the best treatment every time. He has not given me bad advice in the 20+ years I have brought my pets to Hawthorn Animal Hosp. Now that he has fewer working hours I will change my schedule to match his if necessary. I do not trust my dogs to anyone else.

  Dr. Burke is the best vet

  Just had adopted a beagle from Kays animal shelter and found out she had a bad case of pneumonia... I brought my beagle in for treatment. I went back the next day and Dr. Burke immediately got my dog back on track. I haven't let Mandy be seen by a different vet since.

  We moved to the area in 1976 and had a little 2yr old yorkie at the time. She had a stomach upset and we took her to a local vet who pretty much had her at 'death's door", we wanted a second opinion and brought her to Dr. Jorgenson who diagnosed her with a touch of colic, put her on some meds and she was fine and we had her 15.5 years. He has been our vet ever since, I completely trust him with the care of my dogs. Thank you Dr. J!!!
