  • Happy client

    -Tracy from La Mesa, CA
    Pet Name: Balla n Princess

I brought my three month old from the shelter and will also be bringing my year and 7 month year old dog. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. I recommend Dr. Perry who I've selected to be the doctor to both of my dogs, very knowledgeable, upbeat and informative.

  • Highly Recommended

-La Mesa Client of VCA Grossmont from La Mesa, CA
    Pet Name: Buddy

We have been going to this vet for about 15 years, with anything that requires a vet hospital or immediate care (about once a year, approx). VCA's Dr. Perry is wonderful and the staff and other vets have been very good, too. They saved our dachshund's life when she ate rat poison - she came through with not a single ill effect, they saw her right away and administered the medicine that prevents bleeding. We have had our dogs spayed here, without any problem and also other miscellaneous treatments through the years. Also, recently, when our 14 year old dog had heart failure, they were very compassionate and took time to talk to us when the dog expired shortly after bringing her there. They even sent a card with lovely, personalized sentiments. I would say they truly value and care for animals at this animal hospital and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for this. They can be expensive (for certain surgeries) - I think being cautious about extras is a good idea. On the other hand, shopping around for cheaper vets might land one in the hands of those who have horrible reviews. Do your homework! VCA Grossmont is reliable and does good work, they have highly experienced veterinarians there - and very importantly, these vets respect and love the animals they care for. I am a real patient and a fan of theirs! :)

  • The Best of the Best

-Scott Rains from La Mesa, CA
    Pet Name: Noose

Pet Image I am writing this testimonial to let the world know that the Doctors and staff at the VCA Grossmont Animal Hospital are exemplary. I am the proud owner of a Labrador / Sheppard mix named Noose and two wonderful kitties. I began going to VCA Grossmont in 2006. Regardless of a routine annual visit or an unfortunate emergency, Doctors Perry, Mellien and Gibson have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my pets well being. Most recently, Dr. Mellien and her staff treated Noose for a stomach problem. Numerous tests were done and after a week of medication, my best boy was back to normal. Dr. Mellien called me daily to check on Noose. I want to thank each and every one of your at VCA Grossmont for being the best of the best!

  • Dr. Gibson Is AMAZING

    -Noemi from San Diego, CA
    Pet Name: Tootsie

I took my baby Tootsie in to get her ears checked because I suspected an ear infection. Dr. Gibson was sooo gentle and took his time with Tootsie. He understood that money was an issue and helped me to find the best care plan for my little Chihuahua. I am so grateful that I found him and the amazing staff at VCA in La Mesa. I was a new customer but I will definetly be coming back. Thanks again!

  • Dr. Gibson is a Lifesaver

-Trevor and Joco from San Diego, CA
    Pet Name: Joco

Pet Image When Joco was 6 months old he developed a bowel condition that eventually caused him to excrete blood when nervous or excited. It got to the point where his body would no longer absorb nutrients and he was wasting away. 3 vets and hundreds of dollars later everyone told me he was going to die... until I found Dr. Gibson. He rans tests and diagnosed the problem. After 6 months of medication and special diet Joco was putting on weight and back to being a happy puppy. 2 years later he has been weened off the food and medication and is a happy and carefree dog. Thank you Dr. Gibson!
