    Sarah King

    Sarah has worked in veterinary medicine for 8 years, originally joining the field out of a desire to become a veterinarian. Sarah has a BS from SCSU and is currently pursuing a radiology technician degree. Sarah grew up in Wallingford and still lives there with her two Labrador Retriever mixes who were litter mates. Misty loves to swim, play Frisbee and run for hours and Titan who loves to bask in the sun or chase his sister. She also has two cats, Scooter, who loves to beg, cuddle and meow for Sarah’s attention and Figero, who likes to play hide and seek (especially the hiding part)! Sarah spends her free time rock climbing at Sleeping Giant State Park or she can be found catching a Zumba class with friends.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Kelly Maiocco

    Kelly started working on our client service team and then was quickly promoted to veterinary assistant, she lives with her family in North haven and they share their home with 2 morkies , Coco who is very relaxed and enjoys laying in the sun and Mia who is very adventurous and will spend hours outside searching the backyard for new friends. Kelly studied history and education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in hopes to become a history teacher. In her spare time, on a sunny day you can find her at sleeping giant or behind a good book, Kelly also enjoys staying in shape and visiting Boston
     


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Crystal Mansi

    Crystal currently works as a veterinary assistant and is attending Gateway Community College this summer in preparation for an Animal Science degree this fall. After high school Crystal joined the US Army reserves and currently serves one weekend a month. Crystal shares her home with many pets including a Sheltie who is named PV for private, Crystal’s first rank in the Army. She also has four cats Eddy, Chip, Simba, Tiger and 3 parakeets. At the age of 10 Crystal decided she wanted to become a veterinarian. Always wanting to keep our best companions happy and healthy she organized a project to collect food, blankets, and funds for a local shelter. You can find Crystal and PV at Basset Park in Hamden trying to curb his endless energy.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Nicole Quail

    Nicole has worked at VCA Foxon for two years as a Client Service Representative and most recently was promoted to Veterinary Assistant. Nicole’s veterinary career started with her passion to help rescue pets find forever homes. She resides in Trumball, Connecticut with her 3 dogs, Gia, a Shepherd mix that can always be found chewing on a shoe, Sammy a miniature Australian Shepherd who is Nicole’s shadow never leaving her side, and Dolce a Boxer mix who is a sock thief. Nicole currently attends St. Vincent College in pursuit of a nursing degree and hopes to one day work in a neonatal unit. In her spare time she competes in fitness competitions on the east coast and enjoys hiking Sleeping Giant State Park.

    Kate Veilleux


    Kate is a veterinary assistant at VCA Foxon Animal Hospital. She chose to pursue a career in veterinary medicine because it allows her to work in an exciting environment with a variety of pets. Kate loves that she can learn something new from every pet that comes in and hopes to continue her education by becoming a veterinarian. She grew up in East Haven and attended East Haven High School where she went on to further schooling at SCSU and ECSU. She currently lives in Branford, Connecticut with her 2 furry friends Roxy, a Pittbull Terrier and Oakley, a Golden Retriever. Roxy loves to snuggle and you can usually find her in her favorite spot on the bed under the covers. Oakley loves his toys, which can be found in a trail leading to his food bowl and bed. In Kate’s free time you can find her walking at a nearby pond with her dogs.
