Registered Veterinary TechnicianTori M
School: Midland College, Sul Ross State University, Associates of Applied Science of Veterinary Technology, Bachelor
Hello! I’m Tori! I moved to Fort Worth from Midland on a whim in October 2012. I have been with VCA since September 2013 and could not be happier! I love working here! I graduated from Midland College in 2009 with my Associates of Applied Science of Veterinary Technology, and I graduated from Sul Ross State University in 2012 with my Bachelor’s of Science in majoring in Biology and minoring in Animal Health Science/Environmental Science. I have been a RVT (Registered Vet Tech) since 2009 as well. I am a current member on TARVT (Texas Association of Registered Vet Techs) and NAHERC (National Animal Health Rescue Corps). I have worked off and on in emergency vet medicine, and it is something I really enjoy. Here at VCA, I am one of the over night ICU techs, so I get to have a lot of one-on-one time with the pets who stay here with us. My little family consists of: Molly (my grumpy 14 year old grey tabby), Boo (my silly 12 year old Chihuahua mix), Peach (my 8 year old giant cuddle bug who is a black lab), Emmy ( my 4 year old blind rescue calico kitty, who is featured in a book to help other rescues), and the newest addition Oliver (my 5 month old wild kitten, who I have had since she was about 2 weeks old).

Mary grew up on a Dairy farm in Vermont and always wanted to have a career working with animals, so after high school she went to the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and graduated in 2004 with an associates degree, and has been working in the Veterinary field as a registered veterinary technician ever since. Mary has worked for VCA Fort Worth for 2 years.
When not at work Mary and her Husband love spending time with their 5 dogs (the kids) Sonic, Luna, Olive Oyl, Bunny, and Moxie. They have a little problem with strays in their neighborhood so they try to help out as much as they can with feeding them and trying to find homes (if anyone is interested).
"As far back as I can remember I've always wanted to work with animals. I treat every patient that comes in like they are my own. I wouldn't change my career for anything in the world. I can honestly say I love what I do!" Meliea has been an ICU technician for us since 2007, but started as a receptionist in the veterinary field in 2003. When she is not caring for our patients, she loves spending time with her dog, Ky'mani.
Tanya came to VCA in the fall of 2012 as a kennel technician, but transferred to technician in early 2013. She has an American Staffordshire terrier at home named Junior and in her free time, Tanya likes to relax with her five children. Tanya enjoys working at VCA Fort Worth because of the great team, the friendly atmosphere, and the top-quality medical services we offer.
Brandie started at VCA Fort Worth in 2011, although she has been in pet care since 2007. She has completed many hours of volunteer work in Dallas and has her Canine CPR certification. She loves animals and has acquired three of her own: Malu, Tootsie Roll, and Solo Mio. She often enjoys barbequing and camping with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
Crystal has been in the veterinary field for roughly ten years--from technician to kennel staff, she's seen it all! Crystal joined our team in April of 2014 and has since then become indispensable. In her free time, Crystal enjoys spending it with her 5 dogs: Willow, a 3 year-old lab mix; Laila, a 3 year-old miniature pinscher; Bentley and NJ, 2 year-old chiweenies; and Nick, a 4 year-old rat terrier.
I started working at VCA FW as an overnight ICU tech just 2 short months ago! I'm enjoying the new challenge and especially appreciate the warm welcome I've received from the entire team here. I've been a technician in a rural community in Arizona for most of the last 12 years and am looking forward to this opportunity to grow. I brought my family with me from Arizona: my Daughter Lynsy, 3 dogs, 5 cats and a tank full of fish!
