Anu (they/them) was born in New Jersey and grew up in South Dakota. In 2019, they moved to Colorado to begin the process of obtaining a bachelor of Zoology at CSU. Their ultimate goal is to become a small/mixed animal veterinarian. 

Anu is passionate about animals, especially their cat, Sunshine. They have also raised a service dog for the organization Canine Companions. This organization teaches basic commands and socialization over the course of a year and a half until the dog can move on to advanced training; at which time they are placed, free of charge, with someone with a disability. Aparna hopes to one day rescue farm animals from abuse and neglect. In their free time, they love rock climbing, going to the gym, spending time with their cat, and cooking delicious vegan food!
