The High Park Fire that is burning northwest of the city of Fort Collins, Colorado, is likely to be the most devastating fire to have ever occurred in Larimer County. VCA Animal Hospitals is concerned about the well-being of the residents of the burn area, as well as their animal companions. As such, VCA Fort Collins Animal Hospital and VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado are currently offering free boarding for dogs and cats displaced by the fire. Animals should be current on vaccinations, but if they are not the veterinarians at these hospitals will update vaccinations at no charge to owners. For those animals that may have become injured in the fire or during evacuation efforts, VCA Fort Collins Animal Hospital is prepared to offer veterinary care. As some owners may have evacuated to the greater Denver area, several VCA hospitals in that area are offering boarding services as well.

For more information regarding boarding in Fort Collins or Denver, or if help is needed with a cat or dog injured in the High Park Fire, call VCA Fort Collins Animal Hospital at (970) 204-4567.
