    Amberly Bruckschen

    Amberly grew up in the small town of Mishicot, WI and moved to Denver in 2009 to attend Bel-Rea Institute. She did her internship at VCA-Firehouse and after graduating in September 2010 was lucky enough to be hired there! Amberly lives in Thornton, CO with her roommate and fellow technician Nicole and her naughty little cattle dog mix Roxie Mo. In her free time she enjoys hiking, running, and hanging out with friends.

    Sarah Chapais

    Sarah was born and raised in Sanford, Maine. She moved to Colorado in 2005 on an adventure after graduating high school. She loved it so much she has lived in the Boulder/Denver area with her frisky brussels griffon mix (Bruce) ever since. Sarah attended Bel-Rea and graduated in December 2010. She worked at a local 24 hour emergency and local hospitals before making the move to VCA Firehouse. She enjoys spending time hiking, camping, and snowboarding.

    Kristen Devine

    Kristen is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She joined the U.S. Navy when she was 19 and traveled around the world. She and her family then decided to move west to sunny Colorado. It took several years for her to fall in love with Colorado but now she can�t imagine living anywhere else because of the beautiful weather. She became a certified massage therapist and practiced massage for several years before she decided to attend Bel Rea. Kristen graduated with an A.A.S in veterinary technology in July 2007. She interned at Littleton Large Animal before she decided to focus on small animals. She and her husband Keith had a son named Kellan Finch in 2009. As a family, they enjoy swimming, yoga, hiking, watching movies and eating.

    Ashley Henry

    Ashley is a Colorado native born and raised in Denver. She graduated from the Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology in September of 2006. She currently lives in Golden with her husband and two gorgeous parrots and a extremely playful kitten Fraya. While not at work Ashley enjoys hiking and going to the movies with her family

    Nicole McGinnis

    Nicole is a Colorado native, born and raised in Thornton. After finishing high school she attended Bel Rea where she graduated with honors in December of 2008 with her A.A.S in Veterinary Technology. She interned at Firehouse and loved the company so much she wanted to become part of the permanent team. She has a toy poodle with a bad hair cut named Samson and a cat with a loud mouth named Bootsie. When Nicole isn't helping our furry friends she enjoys seeing movies, going to the theater, snowboarding , and relaxing with close friends and family.

    Jessi Page

    Jessi was born and raised in Yankton, South Dakota. After high school she recived her AAS degree for Veterinary Technician at NECC in Norfolk, Nebraska. After school she ended up in Lincoln, NE at a small animal practice. After six years she decided to leave "The Good Life" of Nebraska for "Colorful Colorado" because she needed a change. She lives in Littleton with her husband, Nick. She has a Great Dane/Whippet/Dalmation mix named Kalea AKA White Lightening that has a really bad sweet tooth just like Jessi! In her spare time Jessi likes reading, learning to snowboard, and spending time outdoors.

    Miranda Smith

    Miranda lived in Iowa for the first 12 years of her life and then moved to beautiful Colorado. She graduated from Bel Rea in the fall of 2006 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. She lives in Lakewood with her husband, Brett and son, Nicholas. She has two dogs; Kingston & Bambi, Chihuahuas, and two cats; B-Kitty and Neko. In her free time, Miranda is a professional photographer, sings in a band, enjoys hiking, reading science fiction and fantasy books, camping, and spending time with her friends and family.

    Rebecca Vera

    Rebecca is originally from Elgin, Illinois, but feels like a Colorado native having spent much of her life here. She received her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Bel Rea with High Honors in 2002. She then spent 3 years in various capacities at a local 24 hour emergency clinic. Fate brought Rebecca to VCA Firehouse with her own sick kitties Manu and Mishka. She was so impressed with VCA Firehouse that she wanted to become part of the team. Rebecca enjoys spending her free time making music and playing cello with her boyfriend Munly. She also enjoys watching movies while inhaling a big bowl of popcorn, and taking long walks.
