Bobbi Hafer, DVM, Medical Director

Dr. Bobbi Hafer, originally a farm girl from Nebraska, is a Kansas State University graduate. She received her undergraduate Animal Science degree with honors and doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. During her undergraduate and graduate coursework, Dr. Hafer ignited a special interest in the non-traditional pets. Her patients today include dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents, sugar gliders, snakes, lizards, turtles and more.

Upon graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital and stayed on as a staff veterinarian. In September of 2013 Dr. Hafer decided to add management to her list of talents and became the Medical Director at VCA Firehouse. Bobbi and her husband, Justin, have two children. She also has two mischievous Jack Russell Terriers, Dixie and Wrigley, a cockatiel, Jade. Dr. Hafer enjoys spending time with her family and friends; playing volleyball and enjoying the outdoors.
