We are happy to welcome our two new doctors to our VCA Firehouse Team.
Dr. Bobbi Hafer, originally a farm girl from Nebraska, is a Kansas State University graduate. She received her undergraduate Animal Science degree with honors and doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. During her undergraduate and graduate coursework, Dr. Hafer ignited a special interest in the non-traditional pets. Her patients today include dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents, sugar gliders, snakes, lizards, turtles and more.
Upon graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital and stayed on as a staff veterinarian. In September of 2013 Dr. Hafer decided to add management to her list of talents and became the Medical Director at VCA Firehouse. Bobbi and her husband, Justin, have two children. She also has two mischievous Jack Russell Terriers, Dixie and Wrigley, a Rat Terrier named Kai and two cockatiels, Jude and Jade. Dr. Hafer enjoys spending time with her family and friends; playing volleyball and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Leslie Longo has been practicing in Colorado since 2007. After graduating from University of Pennsylvania in 2007, she completed a rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital focusing on Emergency, Surgery and Internal Medicine. She followed her love for emergency medicine and practiced for the next five years as an ER doctor at the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado. She joined our team in October 2013.
Dr. Longo’s interests are emergency medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology and the human-animal bond. She is an active member of AVMA, CVMA, VECCS and DAVMS. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, camping, hiking and snowboarding with her husband and beloved pooch, Telluride. She also has two cats, Nelson and Oliver.
