Denise Jones Henninger
Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Denise Jones graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Following graduation, she practiced for one year in Chesapeake, Virginia prior to moving to Lubbock, Texas. In Lubbock, she practiced at an after-hours emergency clinic and then later joined a multidoctor small animal practice. In 1988, she and her husband Rick, moved to Columbus, Ohio. Rick completed a residency in Equine surgery at OSU while Denise joined the OSU small animal community medicine practice. During this time, she taught and supervised senior veterinary students during their clinical rotations. Following their 5 years at OSU, Denise and Rick moved to Pennsylvania to join private practices. In 1996, the family moved to Findlay, OH, where Denise joined the Findlay Animal Hospital (now VCA Findlay Animal Hospital). Rick was employed by the University of Findlay Equine Center until his retirement in 2021. He is currently an adjunct professor at the university. Dr. Jones enjoys small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, oncology and ultrasonography. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, their 2 dogs, “Ellie” and “Rupert”, and their 3 cats, “Zanz”, “Hetty” and “Flee”. She enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time outdoors. When possible, they enjoy traveling to visit friends and family – especially their 2 grown children, Cassie and Drew.
