David came to the Care Center in 2006 through a veterinary internship with Findlay High School. After completing the internship, David was offered an opportunity to join our kennel staff as he worked through college. His experience with us in the veterinary department helped him to fit in well in the kennel and offered him a further chance to help the vet staff as needed as a veterinary assistant. David has achieved a BS in Interior design from BGSU and has a Certificate of Design from Owens. As of August 2014 David has accepted the position of Kennel Manager at the Care Center and we are proud to have him lead our staff.
David has a family of five fur kids: Boomer, an american cocker spaniel, Sydney, an english cocker spaniel, and 3 cats, Blackie, Grey Cat, and Tango (one of our rescues).
In his spare time, David enjoys art and photography and spending time with his friends.
Kennel AssistantJessica Davenport
Jessica joined the Care Center staff for a second time in December, 2013. She also works with our local Humane Society which makes Jessica's life filled with hundreds of animals! She has interests in dog training, animal medicine and field biology.
Jessica's home includes a German Shepherd, Winnifred, a Pit/Shep mix, Lager, a Shi tzu, Dillan, a Pit Bull, Red and 2 cats, Sophie and Arthur. She enjoys painting, hiking, working with animals and antiques.
Jessica says, " I enjoy what I do, no matter what kind of day I might be having. The animals always seem to find a way of making it that much better!!"

Ciera has been with our kennel staff (off and on) since 2005. Ciera has four fur babies, dogs Keebler and Ritz and cats Cheddar and Kiwi.
Kennel AssistantKris Haslinger
Kris has been a kennel assistant at FACC since 1989. She is a BIG Ohio State fan and enjoys Ohio State collectibles. She also enjoys painting and drawing in her free time. She has two cats, Whiskers and Stinky and enjoys spending time with her aunt's corgi, Utah.
Kennel AssistantAmanda Lydic
School: University of Findlay, BS in Animal Science / Pre-Veterinary Medicine
Amanda has been part of the VCA Findlay Animal Care Center team since October 2013. She started job shadowing with Dr. Christopher and we liked her so much we invited her to join our kennel team. She still shadows and assists the technicians in the veterinary department as well as attending class in pursuit of her goal of becoming a veterinarian. Amanda's family includes 3 dogs, 3 horses, several cats and cows and she enjoys reading in what little spare time she has.
Kennel AssistantAudrey Walter
Audrey has joined the Care Center for a second time in July 2014. She has a professional interest in swine nutrition and managment.
Audrey has two fur children, Sassy a Rottweiler/Shepard Mix and her cat Brat.
Audrey is PQA Certifide.
Peggan was born and raised in Roundhead, Ohio. She currently resides in Kenton with her husband Nathan and corgi mix Gizmo. Peggan has over 5 years of professional grooming experience and 10 years of experience in the animal care field. She started grooming with FACC in April of 2012.
When she is not working, Peggan enjoys reading books and playing video games, On the weekends you can usually find her enjoying her time with family and friends.
Chris Kirby originally started grooming at the Care Center in 1988. She left us for other pursuits twice over the past couple of decades but returned home to us again in 2012. Chris is a Certified Master Groomer and is involved in American Kennel Club dog shows and competition at breed club specialties.
Chris currently has seven English Cocker Spaniels, Tammi, Clark, Mimosa, Sage, Gordon, Buzz and Taters, two Gordon Setters, Gabby and Baby Ruth, a Beagle, Walker, a Domestic Short-haired Cat Gwen and a husband, Jack.
Chris enjoys gardening, her salt water aquarium, dog agility and OSU football.
