I began my life at Feist Animal Hospital on May 1,1965 as a Saturday receptionist. Shortly after that I was working part-time in the kennels and bathing pets. I assisted with treatments and surgery as we didn’t have technicians then. Later I was full-time as a receptionist until my position evolved into an in-house bookkeeper: payroll, accounts receivable/payable, income and dispersement journals, bank reconciliation, and general ledger. During this time I also ordered drugs and supplies.
I am presently doing purchasing and monthly and quarterly inventories.
I have two grown sons, a Golden Retriever, and three cats. I enjoy church activities, reading, and walks with our dog.
Feist has been a great place to work and I’m happy to have witnessed its growth. I am grateful to have known so many wonderful and caring people over these many years. The conscientious concern for the welfare of pets has always been of the greatest importance to all our Feist staff – past and present.
