Hello! My name is Dr. Kiersten Vala and I am the new medical director at VCA Farmington Hills. I joined the doctor team in June 2022, right after graduating from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. I went to THE Ohio State University for my undergraduate studies and grew up down the street from Farmington Hills in Plymouth. I have a special interest in small animal nutrition though I am enjoying everything I see day-to-day in general practice.

I live in Novi with my husband and our two pets: Lloyd, our Italian greyhound, and Penelope, our calico cat. We love watching movies on the couch with Lloyd cuddled in blankies and Penelope judging from afar. We also love going to new restaurants and attending local events in the Detroit area.
