Dr. Zachary Albudri studied Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, and Political Science at Rutgers University. He continued his education at Rutgers, attending Graduate studies in Pediatric Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr. Albudri went on to work in human medicine, but found that his true passion was in veterinary medicine. Dr. Albudri returned to school to follow his dream of becoming a veterinarian, and graduated in 2005 from Ross University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
In his studies, Dr. Albudri took part in numerous small animal externships, as well as a large animal externship in Florida and a game animal externship in South Africa. He worked in Chicago, IL before coming to us as our Emergency Medicine doctor. Dr. Albudri enjoys training in and implementing the latest breakthroughs in Transfusion Medicine and Emergency Surgery. His training in these fields coupled with his General Practice experience makes him the perfect choice for providing after hours emergency care to our community.
In addition to his role as an Emergency Doctor here at VCA Family Animal Hospital, Dr. Albudri currently teaches General Anesthesia & Surgery through the University of Hawaii. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society, and several other local and international Veterinary Societies.
