Dr. Christine S. Miyasaki, DVM, Staff Veterinarian
A native of the Big Island, Dr. Christine Miyasaki is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, graduating Summa Cum-Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. During her studies at Lewis and Clark College, Dr. Miyasaki spent an academic semester studying in Siena, Italy. She continued her studies at Cornell University in New York, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. While at Cornell University, she was inducted into Phi Zeta, the Veterinary Honor Society which recognizes students of high scholastic achievement and good moral character.
While Dr. Miyasaki enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a special interest in Endocrinology. Dr. Miyasaki has been practicing at VCA Family Animal Hospital since 2005. She is a member of the Honolulu Veterinary Society and served as its treasurer in the past.
In her free time, Dr. Miyasaki enjoys the outdoors. She is an avid rock climber and enjoys surfing, hiking, and yoga. She shares her home with three lovable pets: Potato, a canine adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society, Lucca, who was found as a stray feline, and Vito Ito, a cute canine adopted from K9 Kokua -- the latest addition to the Miyasaki 'Ohana.
