Hey there! My name is Heather Brown and I've worked at Fairleigh for about 13 to 14 years now, off and on. I have 5 toy geriatric rescued poodles, 2 birds, and one feral kitty who allows me to be his caretaker most of the time. My life is a zoo and I love it that way! I also have 3 girls ages 6, 11, and 13. I work hard and love this community so much and I'm so glad to be a part of it!

" Hi! I am a veterinary technician at VCA Fairleigh Animal Hospital and have been with Fairleigh for almost 13 years. My love for animal healthcare and well-being began at a very young age. At 16, I decided it was time to dip my toes in the water and I began my first job as a tech at my local animal hospital in Southeastern Ky. I was fortunate enough to work with both small and large animals and knew I was doing what I was meant to do.  I moved away to college at the University of KY to study Animal Sciences and continued my work in the field during school. I eventually found my way to Louisville, immediately began working at Fairleigh and haven't looked back. I have always loved the atmosphere in The Highlands, the amazing clients and their fur family and of course the forward thinking, complete veterinary services that Fairleigh has made the standard of care.   You may not see me around as much as you used to because during my time at Fairleigh I got married and started a family. I have two wonderful young boys and am blessed to spend a lot of my time with them and only work part time with furry patients. In our home, we have 3 sweet kitties and two rescued pit bulls. Animal rescue has always been a big part of my life and I have fostered and rescued many animals along my journey. My most famous rescue/foster was a sweet little dog we call CrackerJack. He has been featured in the local news multiple times and even has his own facebook page. Hop on over and read his story at http://  I truly love what I do and look forward to meeting you and your furry family members for the 1st or 100th time!

I am 24 years old, I have been working in the veterinary field for 6 years. I spend my time away from work with my best boy Enzo, a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog. We love playing frisbee and going for car rides. I also recently adopted a 5 year old cat, who was deemed "Mr. Chomp" the moment he came into the clinic. I love working with animals and wish to do so for a lifetime.
