A Testimonial From a Devoted Dachshund Owner
Chrissy Lyons from Everett, MAOscar and ScooterI first started going to VCA Animal Hospital way back in 2001 when it was still located on Route 16 Parkway. I had gone in unannounced because my oldest dachshund, Oscar, could not urinate and her bladder was blocked. Dr. Lightbody saved my pup and moved her entire schedule around just to perform the emergency surgery to remove the stones that were blocking the entrance to Oscar’s bladder.
Each employee at VCA in Everett, whether a doctor, tech, or receptionist has always made me feel welcome and comforted. We wish we could all say that we go to the vet only for routing checkups, yet this is far from the truth. Most often, it is in times of distress for our pets…whom any pet owner would agree…are like children to us. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Lightbody as I have already mentioned, to Edvin for teaching me how to give Oscar her insulin shots, to Dr. Defanti for guiding me through what to do with Oscar when her diabetes caused her to go blind (and now she has artificial lenses and can see again!), to Janet for always being so accommodating, friendly, and understanding, Ashley…for always calling me “Ms. Lyons”…it’s like she is one of my former students! And…they were all there for me when my middle dachshund Elmo passed away suddenly this past January…the cards, phone calls, and doggie angel pins…because I wore out the first ones they gave me…all helped me to recover and heal.
I’m not going to name drop to compare VCA in Everett to other vets that I’ve been to in surrounding cities…but there is a reason why I have stuck with VCA all these years. It simply is because of the caring and very knowledgeable staff members who work there. They are real people. They are nice people. I wouldn’t switch vets for anything. Thank you all for everything you’ve done for me and my pets.
Sincerely,
Chrissy Lyons
(and Oscar, Scooter, and the late Elmo Lyons)
P.S. Oh, and I love Vernice too and I forgot to mention her! -
