VCA Elliot Park Animal Hospital

Veterinary Support

  • Technician Supervisor

    MaCinda Horton
    Veterinary Tech School: Anthem

MaCinda came into this field almost 7 years ago and joined the team here at VCA Elliot Park Animal Hospital in 2011, and she loves it. Her and her husband are the proud parents of 3 amazing kids, 5 rambunctious pups, and a kitty who runs them all. She feels that all pets are special and since she can't adopt them all, she hopes you will let her share in helping you care for yours.

  • Technician

    Daniel Barrios
    Veterinary Tech School: Anthem

Daniel was born and raised here in Arizona and has had a passion for animals his entire life. Daniel attended Alhambra High School and graduated as part of the class of 2012. Shortly after he earned an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology at Anthem College, Daniel joined the team at Elliot Park Animal Hospital. During his free time, Daniel loves to volunteer at the Phoenix Zoo. He also loves to spend time with his 12 dogs (11 Chihuahuas and 1 Boxer) and his sugar glider. Daniel is planning on sitting for the VTNE in December 2014 so be sure to wish him luck!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Amanda Pippin
    Veterinary Tech School: Carrington College

Amanda Pippin has been in the veterinary field since 2008 where she started as a Kennel Attendant at a small clinic in Surprise, AZ. From there, she slowly worked her way up the ladder by deciding to attend Veterinary Assisting School to help give her an extra leap towards becoming a Veterinary Technician. Amanda graduated from Carrington College in September 2011 with her certificate in Veterinary Assisting and is currently studying at Rio Salado College to obtain her Associates Degree in Science. She plans on attending ASU to graduate with her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Physiology & Behavior, and then apply shortly after that to Veterinary School to obtain a Doctoral degree.
