    Nicole Collins

    Nicole is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been working here at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital since November of 2013. She started out in high school taking a ROP Animal Care Class and knew working with animals was the career path for her. She has been working in Animal Hospitals for the past 16 years and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2005. Her passion is dentistry and surgery; she is a certified dental technician and plans on obtaining specialized credentials in dentistry and anesthesiology. Nicole enjoys spending time off of work with her son.

    Ashleigh Haydock

    Ashleigh began working at El Rancho in September of 2014 after transferring from another VCA in Long Beach which she had worked at for 8 years. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has been in the field for 13 years. The favorite part of her job is educating clients so their pets can flourish under their care. She also loves dentistry and emergency medicine. When she is not working you can often find her spending time with her husband and three wonderful kids in the desert. She has two dogs that often join the fun. Osiris is a 15 year old lab who was Ashleigh's and her husbands first addition to the family before children. She considers him her first baby! Tank is a 11 year old mixed breed who has a goofy personality that melts the hearts of anyone he meets.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Melyssa Avina
    Veterinary Tech School: Platt College

    Melyssa Avina has been working at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital since August of 2015. She graduated from Platt College to obtain a degree in Veterinary Technology. Soon she will be testing for her RVT exam and would like to specialize in animal behavior, anesthesiology, and dentistry. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her pup Nala, watching movies with her boyfriend ( favorite movies are Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, and World War Z) and hanging out with family.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Krista Boyles

    Krista has been a seasonal worker at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital since 2012. She has worked her way from kennel attendant to veterinary assistant during breaks from college at Texas A&M University. Krista just received a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and will be attending UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in Fall of 2015. Once she achieves her DVM she plans to be a small animal veterinarian in a specialty that is not decided yet. Krista has a passion for animals and their loving owners. She loves coming in to save lives and give love to all the sweet fur babies who need her help every day. She feels very fortunate to be in this field of medicine.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Alyssa Compoi

    Alyssa began working at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital in December of 2014. Previously, she worked at Canyon Crest Animal Hospital in Riverside as a receptionist. She also worked at Not Just For Paws in Canyon Lake as a kennel assistant. Alyssa plans on going to school to become a RVT. She loves animals and caring for them. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, going to the gym, practicing a healthy lifestyle, going to the beach, visiting family, and spoiling her beloved fur baby, Killer.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Charles Myers

    Charles has been working with animal since 1994. Charles started his working as a Veterinary assistant at La Mirada Animal Hospital in 1994 as a kennel attendant. Charles also worked as a bather and helped with grooming at La Mirada Animal Hospital. In 1999 Charles took a position as a Critical Care Technician at VCA All-Care Animal Referral Center. In 2003 Charles was promoted to Lead Technician. In 2005 Charles was promoted to Technician Supervisor. Charles job focused on training Critical Care Technicians. In 2007 Charles was promoted to the graveyard Technician Manager at All-Care. In 2010 Charles transferred here to VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital where he is a valued and loved employee.

    In 2009-2010 Charles attended Professional Veterinary Assistant School of Garden Grove California in witch Charles completed the Alternate Route Veterinary Technician Candidate Program. Charles plans to take the California State Board Exam soon.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Tam Painter

    Tam began working at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital in March of 2014. She began as a Kennel Assistant and worked her way up to Veterinary Assistant. Previously, she worked at Petco for 7 1/2 years. Since her promotion she has been able to be more hands on with our patients. She loves caring for them and being able to assist in their treatments. Tam also loves working with her coworkers. She feels like we have a great staff here and she feels blessed to be a part of the El Rancho family. Tam has a dog named Nova and a 6 foot snake named Kirra. She enjoys spending time with them, camping, quilting, and knitting on her free time.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Kristin Paverud
    Veterinary Tech School: Platt College

    Kristin started as an extern at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital in November of 2013. She was hired shortly after. Kristin attended Platt College to become an RVT and obtained an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. She will be sitting for her exams this summer. She loves working at El Rancho. Kristin enjoys being able to educate clients and show them how to care for their fur babies. She also manages our social media sites. It is a passion of hers to inform people of what's happening in our hospital and what we offer for your four legged friends!


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Lily Reynoso
    Veterinary Tech School: Platt College

    Lily began working at VCA El Rancho Animal Hospital in March of 2014. She graduated from Platt College to become a RVT and obtained an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. Lily will be sitting for her boards later this year. She loves working at El Rancho. Her favorite part is running labs and obtaining samples. Outside of work she loves the beach, camping and dancing.
