Pet Name: QueenieWhen Queenie first became a family member, I tried a couple different vets with no success; either she was uncomfortable with them or they had no real time to spend with us. After meeting with Dr. Waltman, we knew that he and his staff were right for us. Queenie, on the first visit and a little on the shy side, actually approached him for attention, and I appreciate the time and knowledge he shares with us. The staff also truly cares about what they do; they are always patient and concerned and welcoming. We've been with them for almost 5 years now and feel very fortunate to have them caring for Queenie because their first priority is her well-being. Thank you VCA El Mirage, you are very appreciated.

Our Kitty Gave Us A Bit of Scare

Pet Name: MemphisI came home last Tues. (11/3/09) to five puddles of kitty vomit of various viscosities. The cat is an indoor cat and I couldn't think for the life of me what would have made her ill.
She was walking with a slightly hunched back, and appeared to hurt her to move. She wouldn't eat or drink and vomited 3 more times before the evening was through.
There was no improvement in the morning so my husband took her to the El Mirage location-he was waiting at the door when before they opened. They saw him without an appointment. We were concerned about a blockage or poisoning. The staff was very kind and patient. Seems the cat just had a bug, but the Vet. called the next day to see how Memphis was doing.
We will always take our pets to this location. Everyone was so kind and caring-as well as patient!
