Supplies for your new dog

  • Dog food (ask your veterinarian for recommendations)
  • Bowls for water and food
  • Leash and collar
  • Identification tag with your name and phone number
  • Pet bed
  • Dog crate or carrier
  • Lots of toys
  • Pet brush
  • Nail clipper
  • Treats for training rewards (again, ask your vet for recommendations)
  • Toothbrush and paste
  • Dental chews

Supplies for your new cat

  • Cat food (ask your veterinarian for recommendations)
  • Bowls for water and food
  • Litter pan
  • Kitty litter
  • Odor neutralizer
  • Brush or brush/comb combo
  • Nail clipper
  • Collar
  • Identification tag with your name and phone number
  • Cat crate or carrier
  • Pet bed (cats can sleep on any surface but usually enjoy a soft place of their own)
  • Catnip
  • Dental chews
