    Kelly D.
    Veterinary Tech School: Portland Community College
    School: Colorado State University, BS

    Kelly started working for EMPAH in 2009 as an assistant while completing her Veterinary Technology degree at Portland Community College. She became a licensed veterinary technician in June of 2011. Kelly also holds a BS in zoology and biology from Colorado State University. Kelly loves having the opportunity to work with small animals as well as exotics and pocket pets. She has a particular interest in veterinary dentistry and anesthesia as well as talking with clients about the health of their pets.

    Kelly moved to Portland in 2009 from Colorado. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two “kids”, Tux and Brock exploring the outdoors and all Portland has to offer.

    Veterinary Tech School: Portland Community College

    Jamie graduated June 2008 from Portland Community College. She owns a cockatiel and a mixed breed dog that enjoys spending time at the dog park.

    School: Hawaii Pacific University, Marine Biology

    Casey was born and raised in Vancouver, WA. She is our newest Licensed Veterinary Technician joining us in June 2012 after she graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Portland Community College. Casey also has a degree in Marine Biology from Hawaii Pacific University. 

    Casey has has one old, blind cat named Snickers and two dogs, a rottweiler named Juliette and an Australian Cattle Dog named Kal. In her spare time Casey enjoys gardening, hiking, brewing beer, and dog training.

    Veterinary Tech School: Portland Community College

    Marie was born in Anchorage, AK but ultimately grew up in Vancouver, WA. She has three dogs, two cats, and an African Grey parrot. Marie enjoys being with friends, traveling, snowboarding, playing pool, the outdoors and drawing.

    Hillary F.
    School: Clark Community College

    Hillary joined VCA East Mill Plain Animal Hospital in 2007 and has been a valuable part of the team. Aside from her job as an assistant, Hillary does a majority of the inventory ordering for the hospital. In the near future she would like to attend Portland Community College and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Hillary has a cat named Mira, two rats, and two puffer fish.

    In her spare time, Hillary enjoys music, hiking, and hanging out in Portland.

    Karen S.

    Karen joined VCA East Mill Plain Animal Hospital in 2007. Karen is EMPAH's resident rabbit advocate and is very knowledgeable in the care of these creatures! She lives with her rabbit and two cats. IN her spare time Karen volunteers with the Rabbit Advocates and mentors new small animal (rabbits, guinea pigs, rats) room volunteers at the Oregon Humane Society.  Karen also enjoys painting and listening to music.
