Biography

                Dr. Kate Hooper received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2012, graduating with highest honors and receiving the Dr. E.E. Wedman award for most outstanding senior student. After graduation, Dr. Kate completed an intensive internship in emergency medicine and critical care at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital in Portland, OR. Dr. Kate’s professional interests include emergency medicine and critical care, integrative and holistic medicine, cardiology, and avian/exotic species. She is now a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA), a distinction awarded by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 2015. Outside of work Dr. Kate volunteers with the Oregon Humane Society, Pro-Bone-O Veterinary Clinics, and is an executive board member of the Whole Dog Academy. She enjoys running, camping, and cooking.  She is a native of Portland, Oregon and is very excited to be practicing in the Pacific NW, where she shares her home with her two adorable kitties, Bucky and Milo."
