Wildlife

VCA East Mill Plain Animal Hospital will intake and triage orphaned and injured wildlife found by the public.  Our veterinarians will perform an exam and provide emergency and/or stabilizing care to wildlife.  Once the animal is stable, our hospital will work to transfer the animal to the Audubon Society of Portland, or to local licensed rehabilitators.

If you find an orphaned or injured wild animal, please DO NOT feed it!  The best thing you can do as the good samaritan is place the animal in a box or crate, and put it in a warm, dark place away from any children or pets until the animal can be brought to our hospital.
