Dr. Joy Chen is a native Long Islander, born and raised in Nassau County.  She attended University of Maryland – College Park, (go Terps!), and then followed up her love of animals by attending Ross University for veterinary school.  Her clinical training was finished in Virginia Tech.  Her medical interests include internal medicine and cardiology and she hopes to also expand her horizons into Eastern medicine, such as herbal medications and acupuncture, in the near future.

Dr. Chen’s time outside of veterinary medicine is usually spent with family, friends and her super senior dog, Bella, and her ridiculously mischievous cat, Maxwell von Purrenstein III.
