Wonderful caring staff
-Jackie and Chris Pean from Oakdale, NY
Pet Name: SherbertI want to thank you all for the wonderful care, love and treatment that you gave Sherbert while she was in your care. When she was found I really thought she was not going to make it. In all the months that I visited her in the back while she was under your care, I observed the gentle loving manner in which the doctors and staff treated all the animals. Everyone has certainly showed me how much they all truly love the pets and take pride in what they do. Thank you all so much!!!!!

Forever Grateful
-Dayna J. Zizis from Bay Shore, NYAs an animal rescue owner and operator, I have had the great fortune of being welcomed with open arms by the caring, compassionate, and dedicated staff here at East Islip Animal Hospital.Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by familiar faces that work together as a family. I have never felt as though I were a mere customer being accommodated, but part of a team that shares the same love for each and every animal that comes into their care. There is always an open dialogue between myself and both Dr. Jason Heller and Dr. Amanda MacDonald. Every treatment plan has always been a detailed discussion between myself and the Doctor. Every question answered with expertise and patience. Every decision that has been made for my pets and rescues has been with security and confidence because I was informed of all options prior to committing to a recommended treatment plan. It has been an educational experience as well. I have never been made to feel as though I was not a part of our animals care. I am forever grateful. Each and every interaction has been positive. I encourage all of my new adoptive families to entrust the care of their newest family member to East Islip Animal Hospital. Working with other options in the past, because of my personal experience with East Islip Animal Hospital, I stand secure in my choice of Veterinary care.Dayna J. Zizis

Pet Name: chloe
Chloe, our one and a half year old puppy, ran into trouble pretty early on in her life! She needed extensive surgery and we were all really worried how we were going to pay for that surgery when just one person in the household was working at the time. Dr. Jason Heller told us to remain calm, while talking us through what was going on with Chloe. The one thing I was waiting to hear before he went into the medical part of the problem, "I PROMISE, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO CHLOE WHILE SHE'S WITH ME AND SHE WILL MAKE IT OUT OF THE SURGERY FINE!" And she did...she had eaten part of the molding in our kitchen which then got stuck in her stomach and intestine. Dr. Heller not only took great care of Chloe while in his and the staff's care, but also did a GREAT job stitching her up.You can barely see the scar. He informed us and prepared us very well as to what to expect after the surgery too.The staff there is very good to Chloe as well.
Dr. Heller has the biggest heart when it comes to his animals.....who else would give you a chance to work out payments after saving your dog's life? Just him!!! You will never know how much that meant to us! THANKS AGAIN!!
FOREVER GRATEFUL

The loss of our Beloved Kiki
-Christina from Smithtown, NY
Pet Name: Kiki
Dear Dr. MacDonald (and staff),
We would like to thank you for your kindness during the time leading up to and including the loss of our beloved cat, Kiki.
Kiki lived a very full 18 years of life. She loved sitting in the sun. Even though she could be a bit moody at times, she was a very loving companion to my family and me for many years.
3 years ago, we also lost Kiki’s sister, Persy. Persy also lived a very full life, passing away at the age of 15.
We are very blessed to have had them in our lives, and continue to miss them terribly. It’s amazing the impact that our pets have on our lives and just how much they mean to us.
Thank you for taking the time to come into our home and helping to end Kiki’s suffering. We truly appreciate your compassion during that very difficult time.
Thank you again, Dr. MacDonald…you and your staff have been so wonderful!

Bubba
-Kellie Nachmias from ISLIP TERRACE, NY
Pet Name: BubbaMy male bullmastiff, Bubba, had an underlying health issue called pemphegus. It is an autoimuune disease that required him to take prednisone. Dr. Heller discussed all the possible reactions that the disease and the prednisone would cause. Well, Bubba, eventually lost the ability to use his hind quarters. Dr. Heller discovered that the prednisone brought on diabetes. We treated him with insulin for ten days to see if mobility would come back, but to no avail. Bubba lost the use of his front legs and we had no choice, but to put him down in a dignified manner. Dr. Heller and the EI staff were caring and kind during this time. They went above and beyond expectations! Dr. Heller is the best vet I have ever had and I have had numerous pets! Thank you Dr. Heller and EI Animal Hospital staff for your excellent care during such a difficult time!

Our First Child
-The Rinaldi Family from Sayville, NY
Pet Name: SamanthaWe want to thank you for the wonderful care you provided Samantha throughout the years, especially during the last few years. Samantha was our "first child" and a member of our family for nearly 16 years. She was the most wonderful pet a family could wish for. Letting Samantha go was one of the most difficult and heart wrenching thing we've ever had to do. While difficult, we knew it was time to relieve Samantha of the pain and discomfort she endured for quite some time, particularly during her final days. Seeing her in this condition was difficult given how energetic and playful Samantha was during her younger years. We miss Samantha dearly and she will forever be in our hearts and memories. Our home feels empty without her. Thank you again for the wonderful care you provided Samantha throughout all her years. You guy are the Best!!!!!
