New to VCA?

East Islip Animal Hospital offers counseling in nutrition and carries a wide variety of prescription and non-prescription diets. In addition, we offer professional grooming, including bathing and nail-trimming, and coat-thinning for long-haired pets. Proper grooming will not only help reduce odor, it also minimizes the risk of bacterial skin infections.

When going out of town, East Islip Animal Hospital is your pet's home away from home. We have a comfortable boarding facility with seven large indoor dog runs, a medium/small dog ward and a very cozy and quiet cat ward. Our qualified, animal-loving staff will care for your pet as if it were our own. And, because we are a veterinary hospital, we can safely board animals with special needs, senior pets, and pets requiring regular medication or therapy.

We want to help you maintain the highest quality of life for your pets. Just like people, aging pets are more likely to develop health problems. Because not all changes are visible, we recommend twice-yearly physical examinations to help identify areas of concern in their earliest stages.

We encourage you to come and meet our wonderful staff and take a tour of our hospital. As a loving pet owner, you can't put a price on what your pet means to you. That's why we recommend pet health insurance to help with expenses due to an unexpected illness or accident. It's easy, affordable, and you'll have piece of mind knowing you can care for your pet no matter what the cost might be.

The staff at the East Islip Animal Hospital is made up of dedicated individuals. We feel that we are the patient's advocate. We only want what's best for our own pet, so why not offer it to our clients? The biggest difference between us and the guy down the road is our friendly, professional staff. Clients come to us because they know and trust us. As members of the Islip community, we get to see a number of our clients in public.

Our goal is to make sure your experience here is a warm and welcoming one, no matter what the situation might be. The best feeling we get is when we see a patient going home happy and knowing that we are able to help keep someone's best friend healthy.

Come meet our wonderful caring team: Dr. Amanda MacDonald, Dr. Glenn Oddo, Jannette, Teresa, Toni, Jamie, Diane, Amanda, Karina,Catherina, Rebecca. At  the East Islip Animal Hospital is where your pet's health is our top priority, and excellent service is our goal.

Forever Grateful
Dayna J. Zizis from Bay Shore

As an animal rescue owner and operator, I have had the great fortune of being welcomed with open arms by the caring, compassionate, and dedicated staff here at East Islip Animal Hospital.Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by familiar faces that work together as a family. I have never felt as though I were a mere customer being accommodated, but part of a team that shares the same love for each and every animal that comes into their care. There is always an open dialogue between myself and both Dr. Jason Heller and Dr. Amanda MacDonald. Every treatment plan has always been a detailed discussion between myself and the Doctor. Every question answered with expertise and patience. Every decision that has been made for my pets and rescues has been with security and confidence because I was informed of all options prior to committing to a recommended treatment plan. It has been an educational experience as well. I have never been made to feel as though I was not a part of our animals care. I am forever grateful. Each and every interaction has been positive. I encourage all of my new adoptive families to entrust the care of their newest family member to East Islip Animal Hospital. Working with other options in the past, because of my personal experience with East Islip Animal Hospital, I stand secure in my choice of Veterinary care.Dayna J. Zizis
