Biography
Dr. Thomas Maley graduated from University of Minnesota in 2008. After graduating he came to Connecticut with his wife, who is also a veterinarian. He started work at Banfield Animal Hospital in Norwalk CT as an associate from 2008 to 2009, and then in 2009 he became the Chief of Staff and held that position until leaving in the spring of 2011. From there he started working as an associate at VCA Northside in Danbury CT and finally was promoted to Medical Director at VCA East Hartford in the fall of 2011.He and his wife had their first child, Julia, in July of 2010. They also share their home with their four pets Onyx (10 year old Spaniel mix), Beam ( 9 year old English Setter), Brinkley ( 3 yr old Yellow Lab) and Finn ( 5 year old Domestic Shorthair). When not working, Dr Maley is an avid outdoorsman, on weekends you might find him with a fly rod in hand, somewhere wading in the surf of Cape Cod. When he isn’t out and about he prefers to be home caring for his daughter, and taking care of the home he and his wife have created here in Connecticut.
Dr .Maley has a special interest in promoting and fostering the animal human bond by educating his clients and by providing the most cost effective wellness care (preventative medicine) available. He also has a special interest in, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and dermatology.
