Biography

Dr Jim Burk grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated form Louisana State University in 1981. He began working for VCA in 1998 at VCA Howell Branch Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian and them moved on to become the Medical Director. He is also the Medical Director at VCA East Colonial Hospital, in Orlando.

 

" I became a Veterinarian because I grew up with, and loved dogs. I also enjoyed working with people. This profession allowed me to work with both people and their pets, which was pretty cool! Along the way, I fell in love with the very interesting creatures called cats which has further enriched my life. "
