"As long as I can remember I have always wanted to work with animals. My ultimate goal is to become a Veterinarian. I am grateful for the opportunity VCA has given me. I like to make people smile and knowing what great care their pets are receiving. I am fulfilling my goals and want my children to see that if you want something in life you need to work at it and it can happen."

    Katherine Calero Del Rosario

I was born in Miami, FL and raised between Tallahassee, Ocala, & Orlando. During the summer & spring breaks from High School I would go to the Tampa and do community service hours at the VCA in Tampa and help my aunt with the kennels. As my favorite animal has always been dolphins I became more interested in becoming a Veterinarian for Marine Animals when I began to work at SeaWorld. I am currently going to Valencia to transfer to UF to become a Veterinarian. I am very happy VCA has given me the opportunity to work for them and be surrounded in the field my career is in.

“I love coming to work and meeting new clients. I love the fact that I learn new things everyday anywhere from customer service tips to information about the different types of medicines and parasites etc. Seeing new furry friends come in everyday is a pleasure. I enjoy being proud of where I work & excited to come to work everyday. Seeing the smiles and tails wagging is such an enjoyable experience and reminds me all the time why I want to be a Veterinarian. Any way of helping to save an innocent animals life is always a goal I to try and achieve.”
