  • Technician Supervisor

    Lorraine Elium
    School: NC State University

    Prior to joining our team, she worked as a large animal veterinary technician for three years prior to becoming a small animal technician. She has been with VCA now for 11 years. Some of her current roles include controlling drug policies, compliance with AAHA protocols and equipment maintenance. Her current animal companions include three dogs named Mandolin, Big Bertha and Petit Chou. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, hiking, restoring her 113 year old home and anything retro/old.

    Jessica Coleman

    Jess was a zoo keeper that took care of numerous species of animals that included large cats, monkeys and reptiles before joining our team. She has been with VCA now for 5 years. Her current animal companions include 2 dogs named Captian and Cooper, and a red tail boa constrictor named Fred. In her spare time, she loves softball, bowling and basketball.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Abriana Johnson
    School: NC State University, Animal Science

    Abriana is a recent graduate of NC State University with a BS in Animal Science and nutrition minor.  Her aspirations include pursuing a Masters of Public Health as well as attending veterinary school.  Abriana's veterinary background largely consists of large animal medicine, but she has joined our team to hone her skills as a small animal technician.  Running a small business and spearheading her public health program, the Equine Health Series, Abriana stays very busy!  In her free time, she like to train and ride her 3 year old Tennessee Walking Horse, Maestro, do arts and crafts and cook.  Her other animal companions include a Dutch Shepard named Nadia Renee and a kitten name AJ.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Joe Rodriguez

    Prior to joining our team, Joseph was a Veterinary Technician at Wake Veterinary Animal Hospital. He has been with our team for 9 months now. He loves to be a part of the healing team. He attends NC State with the hopes of going to their Veterinary school. He doesn’t have any companions at the moment but loves Staffordshire Terriers. He enjoys jogging, hanging out with friends and dancing.
