Technician SupervisorLiz Rosengrant
Hi. I'm Liz Rosengrant and I have worked at VCA Dover Animal Hospital for 2 years. I grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduated from West Scranton High. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat at home! "Dawson" my border collie mix, "Mike" my chug, "Crosby" my Yorkie/Pom mix, and "Tommy" my cat. In my free time I enjoy working outside, planting, camping, fishing, and family time! Why I Do What I Do: I have been doing this for 27yrs in Feb. It's hard work and requires serious dedication. I always enjoy coming to work and truly love my job!
Melissa has been with us at VCA Dover Animal Hospital for 2 years now as a Veterinary Technician. She graduate from Smyrna High School is 2008 and Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland in 2012 with a degree in Biology. She currently resides in Smyrna with her 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier names Allie! Outside if work Melissa enjoys running. She completed her first half marathon last fall! She also loves to read, cook, and spend time gardening! "I do what I do because I like to feeling I get when we successfully get a pet through an illness or injury. Seeing how happy each pet parent is that we helped to get their fur baby feeling better is one of the best feelings in the world!" Someday Melissa would like to get her masters degree in biology and become a licensed Veterinary Technician. I am very interested in learning more about the Veterinary field other then small animals. I would like to explore large animals, or wild life areas of the practice!
Veterinary Tech School: Delaware Technical and Community College
My name is Katie Mitchell. I grew up in Dover DE and have lived here my whole life. I graduated from Delaware Technical Community College in 2003 as a Vet Tech. I started my journey as a vet tech working with large animals. I did that for 7 yrs and now I work at VCA with the small animals. I've worked at VCA for 5 yrs now. Working with animals is my passion and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and a horse. My animals are a major part of the family. Being around animals all day makes me smile.. They love to be loved and have so much love to give. Being able to help someone or something that could never repay you is priceless in my book.
