  • OUR DEEPEST GRATITUDE TO DR. KOODRICH AND STAFF

-Aimee peck from palm springs, CA
    Pet Name: SASSY

Pet Image Our beautiful boxer/pit mix Sassy suddenly became ill with IMHA and we were faced with this disease overnight Dr. Koodrich did what she could but they were not equipped with doing blood transfusions etc... Thank god for Cora (one of the employee's) she suggested we take Sas to VCA All Care in Fountain Valley ... she was at death's door she remained there 4 days had her transfusion and then we were on our way to a long road of meds and doctor visits Dr. Koodrich was like a gift from god her bed side manner was amazing she genuinely cared and unlike most places that will just turn you away due to lack of funds she didn't turn her back on us Sassy's high cost of meds were taking there toll, but we were able to make payments on our doctor visits which were once if not twice a week. Unfortunately Sassy lost her battle after 5 mos of fighting and i don't think i would have emotionally survived had it not been for Dr. Koodrich and the wonderful people at VCA Desert Animal Hospital. Sometimes pure compassion is the one thing that will make the difference ~ people may forget what you do for them , but they will never forget the way you made them feel ~ Thank you for making Sassy and us feel like She was worth the fight.

  • Dr. Mindy, mans' best friend's best friend.

-James Bahm from Rancho Mirage, CA
Pet Name: Prince Augustus Von Begonia

Pet Image After nearly thirteen year of exemplary care its hard to imagine anything but. Our Weimaraner, Gus (now 13 years) has been under the care of Dr. Byers actually since just prior to being weaned and coming home. Straightforward, no nonsense medicine, counseling and owner training, all delivers with the most genuine brand of concern and love for animals. Dr. Mindy has always been there for our family. Always. As testimony to the level of quality and comprehensive care, after Gus needed unexpected vet care while we were traveling the Dr. that we encountered estimated Gus's age to be 2-3 years. At the time, he was 11.
We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Mindy in our family. There simply is no greater care possible for your pet.

  • Sincere Gratitude and Appreciation Dr Patty

-Jeff and Deborah from Palm Springs, CA
    Pet Name: Josh

We had brought Josh in for a nail trim. Now this may not sound like a difficult task; But our cat is very opinionated and can be very aggressive in letting you know when he is upset! Dr Patty and Jullian were so very respectful, patient and kind with their treatment of Josh!! We had to sedate Josh to complete the task. Needless to say; it was quite stressful for all of us!!
Thank You Dr Patty for your kind and compassionate care.

  • Deepest Gratitude

-The Bleas from Perfect, Sunny, CA
    Pet Name: Carloa

Please allow us this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to Doctor Abigail Cutler and the Palm Springs VCA Desert Animal Hospital for the extraordinary services and care rendered to our beloved Chihuahua, Carloa.  In 2010, Carloa became deathly ill, suffering from hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and canine pancreatitis.  We took Carloa to see Doctor Cutler and witnessed for the next three days treatments consisting of IV fluids, medicines, and patient care consisting of tremendous skill, concern, and compassion.  Doctor Cutler literally saved our Little Carloa's life.

In 2011, Carloa suffered soft-tissue injury to her back and rear legs while playing and subsequently lost her appetite and experienced great difficulty walking.  We again took Carloa to see Doctor Cutler who recommended acupuncture as Carloa has a history of refusing oral medications and subsequently difficulty in administering oral medications.   After only two sessions of acupuncture administered by Doctor Cutler, Carloa again returned to normal, playing and running about the house.  Her appetite returned to normal and to this day she continues to thrive.

We continue to take Carloa and our other two dogs, Emma and Chloe, to see Doctor Cutler for routine exams and vaccinations.  They all remain in excellent health.

We wish to commend Doctor Cutler and the Palm Springs VCA Desert Animal Hospital for all that they do for us in maintaining the exceptional health care of our little pets.  We are indeed fortunate to have a facility such as yours within our community to protect and care for our beloved animals.

    Sincerely,

The Bleas----Eileen, Carloa, Emma, Chloe, and Terry

  • Thank you Dr Koodrich

    -Thom from Palm Springs, CA

I want to thank Dr. Koodrich for the excellent and compassionate care she has provided for my two scotties. She is understanding and very knowledgeable. She goes out of her way to explain all aspects of their care. She follows up after a surgery, just to see how they are doing. I can't say enough about her kind bedside manner. My older curmudgeon Scottie, Winston, really likes her gentle manner. In the 30 years of having Scotties, this is the best care I have ever seen. Thank you and the staff for your service.

  • Rocky's Last Hours

-Diane Tremblay from Palm Springs, CA
    Pet Name: Rocky

I want to thank Dr. Mindy Byers and Dr. Jessica Young and all of the wonderful staff at VCA Desert Animal Hospital for the excellent care and concern you gave to Rocky during his lifetime.

Unfortunately, on the morning of December 17, 2012, Rocky lost his battle with sudden onset kidney failure. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and household, one that will heal knowing he always received the best of care at VCA Desert Animal Hospital. I don't think I would have emotionally survived had it not been for the compassion shown me by Dr. Byers and the VCA staff in Rocky's final hours with us. I also received condolence calls the following day from Dr. Young and Julian.

Sometimes pure compassion is the one thing that will make the difference ~ people may forget what you do for them, but they will never forget the way you made them feel ~ Thank you for making Rocky and me feel like he was worth the fight.

I sincerely thank all of you on behalf of Rocky.

There simply is no greater care possible for your pet than at VCA Desert Animal Hospital!

  • Max

-Sylvia Toney from Palm Springs, CA
    Pet Name: Max

Recently my mother had to have her dog put down.
The staff there were so very nice & compassionate to my Mom.
Nowadays it is soo rare to see that.
Most places only want money & are not concerned with the customers feeling.
    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.
Thank you all soo very much

  • Sincere Gratitude to Dr. Long

-Jo Anne G. from Palm Springs, CA
    Pet Name: Ben

Dr. Pat Long provided exemplary care to my cat, Ozzie, for several years prior to his death in 2009, at age 21.5 years of age. She is an excellent diagnostician and so very compassionate toward older cats and my needs as a caregiver/owner. She was instrumental in enabling me to keep Ozzie at home with hospice care the last few weeks of his life and called me after he passed away. I sincerely thank you for the excellent care and concern you gave to Ozzie.

It has been almost three years since I have had a pet and I am happy to say that I have just adopted a kitten. "Ben" and I will be coming to see you soon. Thank you so much for your care and concern. I am most grateful.

  • Thanks for the wonderful care

-Heather from Desert Hot Springs, CA
    Pet Name: Afrika

Afrika received tender, loving care from the professionals at VCA Desert Animal Hospital. We were so fortunate that the clinic was open on Sundays - even on a long weekend - as she needed immediate medical attention. Her follow-up dental surgery was successful, and she rebounded quickly. I highly recommend the VCA animal hospital. The level of care is impressive, and we were kept well informed.

-Steve Bernstein from Cathedral City, CA
    Pet Name: Sammy

Pet Image We have taken Sammy our 17 years old Boston Terrier to VCA Desert Animal since 2005 and they have literally saved his life at least twice. Drs. Behrenfeld and Cutler are awesome, and Dr. Pat Long, who twice has operated on our baby is so devoted, these are the hardest working people and they share with each other. We are so lucky to have this team. Thank you so much.
