    Steve Aho

Steve grew up on a diary farm in northern Minnesota so has been around animals most of his life.  After living in some major cities on the west coast (and Palm Springs in the 1990's), Steve returned to Palm Springs in 2013 as he missed the slower pace of life.  Steve has worked for VCA since 2007 and while at work, Steve has a difficult time not wanting to take home all of the animals he encounters.  Outside of work, Steve enjoys reading a good murder mystery, eating out at fun restaurant's and just enjoying life with his husband and their two rescue cats Painter and Peaches.

    Ginger Watson

Ginger was born in southern California and has grown up in the valley. She is skilled in many different areas and has been involved in many aspects of the veterinary field for the last 10 years. She comes from a family of animal lovers and has 4 cats named Garfield, Tiger, Morris and Gracie.  She loves to do lion cuts on cats and truly believes it makes cats feel more comfortable at times here in our hot desert. Ginger’s passion is working with animals and connecting with their owner’s. Outside of work she loves to spend her time hanging out at the water park or relaxing by the pool.

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
