Dr. Christiansen joined VCA Dakota Ridge as medical director in January 2021. She graduated from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 before relocating to Colorado. She completed a clinical internship in 2005 and has practiced in the Denver metro area since that time. She earned her certification in Acupuncture in 2020. Dr. Christiansen's areas of emphasis are preventative and internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, weight and pain management, including integrative therapies such as acupuncture, laser, and massage.

In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, reading, cooking, and baking. She shares her home with her two children, and one energetic golden retriever.
