  • Certified Veterinary Technician

    Ashley Scott
    Veterinary Tech School: Bel-Rea

Ashley is originally from Missoula, Montana.  After high school, she spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corps working in Public Affairs.  Gaining the self-confidence needed, she decided to follow her childhood dreams and moved to Colorado to become a veterinary technician.  She graduated with high honors from Bel-Rea during the winter of 2009.  Ashley gained experience at a specialty and preventative care clinic.  She then joined the VCA Firehouse team in July 2011, later transferring to VCA Dakota Ridge in July 2012.  Ashley lives with her husband (Jerod), her cocker spaniel (Clyde) and two cats (Oiseau and Snafu).  During her time off, she enjoys snowboarding, paintballing, going to the movies and enjoying lazy days at home with her family.

Katie is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After high school, she attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2011.  After working in the education field, she decided to switch careers and pursue what she truly loves; she attended the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh to become a veterinary technician.  After graduating the Vet Tech Institute in December 2013, she moved out to Colorado with her boyfriend, the avid skier, to enjoy the mountains.  She lives with her boyfriend (Caleb), their dog (Roxy), and their bearded dragon (Ivan).  In her free time, she loves to snowboard, camp and try new (and sometimes weird) restaurants with Caleb!

  • Veterinary Assistant

    Deb Greiner
    Veterinary Tech School: Penn-Foster
    School: CSU, CU, DU

Deb is a proud native of Colorado.  She was born in Durango, but grew up just a few miles from VCA Dakota Ridge Animal Hospital.  She enjoyed her "first career" in Jefferson County Schools as both a teacher and principal.  Upon retirement, when asked what she was going to do with her time, she always replied "work with animals".  She attended Bel-Rea, and finished her Veterinary Assistant Certification at Penn-Foster. Upon graduation, she worked at the Dumb Friends League in Veterinary Services as well as in Adoptions.  She is thrilled to now be a member of the VCA Dakota Ridge team.  She looks forward to getting to know families which, of course, will include their four-legged members!

Deb and her husband, Doug, are owned by two dogs (Dody and Spike), a cat (Sophie), and a parakeet (Blanche).  Dody is a yellow Labrador bred in Iowa.  Spike is a rescued dog who had been left in the night kennel at the DFL with a broken tibia. Sophie was rescued after her family of twelve years decided they no longer had time for her and was found outside on a sidewalk.  In their spare time, Deb and Doug enjoy hiking and snowshoeing with the dogs up on the Gore Range.  They can also be found celebrating those wonderful little people called grandchildren.
