Dr. Stacie Piatt-Vaughn
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Piatt grew up in Clifton and became interested in veterinary medicine through her love of animals and showing horses. She was involved in both 4-H and FFA growing up. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She did an internship at a practice in Las Vegas, Nevada, focusing on general practice, medicine, dermatology and dentistry. She worked in the Plainfield area after her internship before moving back home and has been with VCA for just over 25 years. Her professional interests include medicine, dermatology and dentistry.

She is dedicated to helping pets have a more pleasant experience in the veterinary office. Dr. Piatt is Fear Free Certified®, Low Stress Handling Silver Certified® and has attended a Low Stress Handling® Master Class. She is a Certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and has been instrumental in getting our clinic's AAFP Gold Standard Cat Friendly Certification.

In her free time, she enjoys adventures with her husband, Doug, and spending time with her family. Stacie and Doug have four children: Brad (Ellen), Lauren (Adam), Emily and Nick. They also enjoy their grandchildren: Colt, Clay, Cade, Stella, Brie, and one on the way. Their three pets include Sasha, a Lab mix (recently rescued from ICARE), Nick's Labrador puppy, Spur, and their cat, Kit Kat.
